I am even lucky enough to have a room with a sea view,” she confides with a smile. Originally from Marseille, Clara travels the roads of France with her own show, Le Cabaret de Clara Morgane, and occasionally performs as a special guest, as she is here at the Cabaret de Licques.
“It is demanding, but I am fortunate to do what I love,” she tells us with her infectious energy.
Behind this frantic pace of life lie the secrets of a carefully cultivated balance. “I have a lot of energy because I am careful about how I organize myself. I divide my year in two: six months for creativity, where I write and compose, and the other six months, I am on tour. That is how I stay inspired.”

I think being artists today is our best way of engaging in politics and bringing smiles, because we only live for that; it is all we know how to do.”
With touching humility, Clara also mentions the slight adrenaline rush that precedes every performance. “There is always that thrill before going on stage, especially when I am presenting new pieces.” And despite her years of experience, this thrill has never left her, proof of the undiminished passion that drives her at every performance.
